Hi-Tech Building Systems was recently featured on the “Future of Home Building”. The Fox Business segment highlighted the use of hi tech construction using ThermaSteel structural grade steel insulated panels and the confident sentiment felt among homebuilders. The show featured President of Majestic Estate Developers Robert Tomczak discussing how steel structural insulated panels (SSIPs) are revolutionizing the construction and home building industries. Mr. Tomczak explained that SSIPs, used in residential, commercial and industrial construction, are high strength insulated panels made of recyclable steel. The steel insulated panels provide comfort in extreme weather conditions, feature abundant insulation and considerably reduce energy consumption. ThermaSteel insulated panels from Hi-Tech Building Systems can reduce the homes energy requirement by 50-75%. This effectively lowers utility costs and provides considerable long-term savings.
In addition the ThermaSteel SSIPs bring incredible strength and value to the homebuilding market. The panels are made of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) with no thermal bridging. In layman’s terms, this means that no cold can escape through the panels. This allows builders to continue construction even in unfavorable weather conditions. Mr. Tomczak confidently demonstrated this on the Fox program by showing how Majestic Estate workers continued to construct homes, even in the frigid winters of Twin Lakes Wisconsin. He went on to say, “We have seen a lot more activity in the last few months in the new housing market. We have a very positive attitude towards the market and continue to build houses on spec.”
